Monitor Dimensions by Size and Aspect Ratio
Choose a screen shape, then a diagonal. Two monitors with the same inch size can have very different widths and heights. Every table includes inches and centimeters.
16:9 — Widescreen
The familiar widescreen shape used by TVs and many desktop monitors. Compare compact desk sizes with larger panels for work and gaming.
16:10 — Taller widescreen
A taller shape than 16:9 at the same diagonal, useful when comparing space for documents and long pages. Extra height comes with a slightly narrower panel.
21:9 — Ultrawide
Extra horizontal space for side-by-side windows and wide game views. The 21:9 label covers several actual proportions, so each calculation uses the listed resolution ratio.
32:9 — Super ultrawide
The proportions of two 16:9 panels side by side. Check the full desk footprint, curvature, and whether your applications support this width.
